The homeowners wanted to revitalise their poolside area, where the ageing treated pine decking had become uneven and unsightly. Once the old deck was removed, we found the sub-frame (stumps, bearers and joists) had been built incorrectly, compromising the deck’s structure. The glass pool fence was also unstable because of it.
The OutcomeWe poured new footings, rebuilt the sub-frame and laid durable Merbau decking along the pool, then reinforced the beams and reinstalled the pool fence so it is level and secure. The result is a safe, durable outdoor space that sits seamlessly with the pool, ready for relaxing and entertaining.
