What the Client Needed

The homeowners wanted a kitchen that honoured the traditional charm of their period home while adding modern conveniences. Solid dark timber cabinetry paired with a black quartz stone benchtop set the tone for the space.

Pot drawers, overhead cupboards, a built-in pantry and a concealed bin cupboard give plenty of storage without overwhelming the layout. A brick-pattern splashback, a new window above the oven and a bar bench with corbel brackets tie the design together, respecting the home’s heritage while meeting modern living standards.
