The iconic Deck House at Wye River needed its outdoor living area renewed. The existing deck had aged metal handrails and weathered treated pine boards that had become uneven, and once removed we found the beams and joists were damaged and decaying.
The OutcomeWe repaired and, in many places, replaced the sub-frame, then laid new Merbau decking and installed a glass balustrade with a slim stainless steel handrail. Every external stainless steel component is marine grade to stand up to the coastal conditions, giving a deck that is safe, striking and built to last.
