Updated Decking in Balwyn
The owner of this Balwyn home wanted to update their front porch to a new deck floor.
We began this project by bolting new treated pine battens directly on top of the tiled floor. As the levels were completed, we began to lay new timber flooring. The material used for the new deck was 140mm x 19mm Merbau timber.
A complete sanding from rough to a finer grade of sand papers ensured a super smooth finish. A wet look decking oil was applied to enhance the richness of the timber and the grains running through.
To finish the works, we fixed down the deck with stainless steel screws to properly brace the structure and neaten the overall look.
