The owners of this classic Reservoir home wanted it restored to its period character, inside and out, while bringing it up to modern standards. We completely gutted and refurbished both the interior and exterior, starting with a new front facade: double-hung windows, weatherboards, custom gables, ornate doors and turned posts.
The OutcomeInside, new Jarrah floors, period joinery and a custom plaster design rarely seen today (panelling about a metre up the walls, thick ornate archways, large cornices and detailed ceiling roses) bring the home back to life. Updated electrical fittings with period-style chandeliers complete a home that blends historical charm with contemporary living.
