A popular holiday Home Renovation in Wye River
The Deck House, is a very well-known holiday destination in between Lorne and Apollo Bay along the Great Ocean Road. Part of its popularity is its isolation, fantastic scenery and its own walking staircase directly to the Great Ocean road.
Externally we removed all of the old metal handrails and the original 90mm x 19mm timber decking. The installation of a wider 140mm x 19mm Merbau timber was chosen to replace the existing, which was finished with a sand and oiling.
A new glass panelled balustrade, resting on stainless-steel spigots and finished with a stainless-steel handrail, was installed to replace the existing. The external walls, windows, gutters and down pipes were repaired and painted.
External LED downlights were installed to the floor of the timber walk way bridge leading up to The Deck House.
Internally we refurbished the existing kitchenette with new appliances, tap ware and a quartz black stone bench top.
The existing bathroom was completely guttered and replaced with a new wall mounted vanity, level entry shower, a frameless shower screen, a new toilet, a large mirror, new tapware and new floor and wall tiles throughout.
In the main room the existing flooring was removed and replaced with solid Tasmanian Oak hardwood floorboards finished with a high gloss.
A stand-alone bath was installed in the bay window area sitting on new large tiles overlooking the beach front.
New LED downlights and switches were installed throughout. The walls and ceilings were repaired and painted including all of the windows.
A great job was done by all to a very well-known holiday destination.
