Exterior Enhancements
We began by completely gutting and refurbishing both the interior and exterior of this classic home. The front facade received new double-hung windows and weatherboards, complemented by custom-designed gables featuring tiers, strapping, panelling, corbels, and fretwork. Ornate doors and turned posts were installed to enhance the home’s traditional aesthetic.
Interior Upgrades
Inside, we replaced all flooring with 19mm Jarrah floorboards, sanded and polished to a high gloss finish, adding warmth and elegance. The woodwork throughout the home was updated to match the period theme, including double-hung windows, panelled doors with ornate handles and hinges, and large skirting and architraves.
The plasterwork was transformed into a custom design rarely seen, featuring plaster panelling approximately one meter up the walls, thick ornate archways, large period cornices, and detailed chandelier plaster panels. Every room was repainted, covering walls, ceilings, doors, windows, skirting, and architraves to ensure a cohesive and refreshed look.
Interior Upgrades
We modernised the home’s electrical fittings by removing outdated lights, switches, and power points, replacing them with period-style chandeliers and light fittings. Switches and power points were mounted on timber boards to maintain the traditional aesthetic.
