The homeowners desired a kitchen that honored the traditional charm of their residence. We achieved this by installing solid dark timber cabinetry, complemented by a reconstituted black quartz stone benchtop. This combination exudes warmth and sophistication, setting the tone for the entire space.
To improve the kitchen’s functionality, we incorporated two sets of pot drawers and overhead cupboards, providing ample storage without overwhelming the layout. A cleverly concealed built-in cupboard was designed to house a bin, maintaining the kitchen’s clean lines. All drawers and doors feature soft-close mechanisms, ensuring longevity and a touch of luxury.
A Timeless Blend of Tradition and Functionality
Understanding the importance of accommodating modern appliances, we allocated space for a large 900mm oven and rangehood, a dishwasher adjacent to the sink, and a generously sized area suitable for virtually any refrigerator. A built-in pantry with custom shelving and corner cabinets was also included to maximise storage efficiency.
A tiled brick-pattern splashback was installed to continue the period aesthetic while offering durability and easy maintenance. To invite natural light and create a focal point, we added a large glass-paneled window above the oven. The external bar bench, adorned with feature corbel brackets, adds a distinctive touch that ties the design together.
Completing the renovation, a double-sided sink with a separate drainboard and an elegant chrome mixer tap was installed, blending functionality with style.
