Do we need a planning permit to extend our Alphington kitchen?

South of Heidelberg Road the City of Yarra assesses this, and to the north it is Darebin City Council. We check before design.

Usually, yes. Leadlight windows can be removed, repaired and reinstalled, or kept in place and protected while we work. If a window has to move to suit the new layout, it can sometimes be reused elsewhere in the house. We discuss this at the design stage so it is planned rather than improvised.
